How to Invite Your Crush to Your Birthday Party

Hey birthday girls!

No matter how old you are, there are only a few things more exciting for a girl than having a new love interest in her life (BIRTHDAYS of course!). Suddenly, every text message becomes part of a game of strategy, and every night out becomes an exciting possibility to bump into him. Obviously, if you’re having a fabulous birthday party for yourself, you want him to be there for a variety of reasons. You'll probably get your best birthday outfit on, makeup, hair, etc so he’ll see you looking like a knockout while being the center of attention in your birthday outfit, no doubt. Most importantly, all of your friends will be there for your birthday party, so this is a prime opportunity to get their opinion on your new boy. How you should invite your crush to your birthday party will depend on how serious of a crush he is, so we’ve broken it down into 3 categories.

1) The Newbie: This is the guy that you’ve just met and don’t know very well. You’ve Googled his name and creeped his Facebook, but you really haven’t spent that much time with him. You don’t want to appear desperate or seem too eager for him to come to your birthday party, but you want him there just in case. Ask one of your friends to invite him and a couple of his close friends to your Facebook event, or casually text him to stop by with some of him buddies on the day of your birthday party. Keep it cool, and you'll do just fine getting him to your birthday party.

2) The Toyfriend: You’ve probably gone on a few dates with this guy and maybe even hooked up with him. Even though you like him, it’s not quite serious, but maybe it could be exclusive . . . someday! Who knows?! Drop the hint that you're having a birthday party when you hang out with him and tell him that he should come to your birthday party. Letting him know earlier will allow him to clear his schedule to make sure he can be there, and if you really like him, tell him you can add him to your guest-list. If he doesn't come to your birthday party then no big deal! Maybe you'll find someone else...

3) The Real Deal: This is the last level of the “crush” before the relationship turns into something more serious. This is the, you want to be exclusive with him level and what better way to solidify that is to get him to your birthday party! To be honest, your birthday party just wouldn’t feel right without him there. At this point, you should ask him ahead of time in person on a more personal level if he can come to your birthday party. Let him know that you want him there, and if you feel this strongly about him, chances are he feels the same way about you and wouldn’t miss it. Keep the communication clear, and let your feelings be heard with this birthday idea strategy!

Your birthday is important so whoever comes to your birthday party is important to know, so don’t be shy when you're inviting your crush. If you want him there, let him know. After all, it's pretty hard for anyone to turn down a girl on her birthday.
